Published: Mon, June 30, 2008 @ 10:34 p.m.

NORTH JACKSON — The Ohio State Highway Patrol said two Cleveland men died when their rental truck ran off the Ohio Turnpike eastbound entrance ramp off Interstate 80 in Jackson Township at 11:35 a.m. today.

The driver was identified as William Moore Jr., 43. His passenger was Jeremiah Pettway, 59.

Troopers said the large box-style truck went out of control while trying to negotiate a curve to the right and went off the roadway, striking an embankment and some trees.

The ramp was closed for more than six hours as authorities cleared the scene.
