YOUNGSTOWN — The male passenger in a Chevrolet Cavalier traveling south on Glenwood Avenue Thursday afternoon died after the car collided with a cement truck traveling north near Midlothian Boulevard, said Detective Sgt. Patricia Garcar, an accident investigator. The victim has been identified as Amir Fareer, 43, of Youngstown by Mahoning County Coroner David M. Kennedy. A ruling on the death is pending. Garcar said the crash happened at 3:40 p.m. when the Cavalier driver, thinking he could beat the truck, turned in front of it. No other serious injuries were reported.
