Update: Man’s body found at McKelvey Lake
YOUNGSTOWN — The body of a man who went into the water at McKelvey Lake on the city’s East Side Thursday evening was found this afternoon, police said.
Members of the Mahoning County Dive Team had been searching an area of McKelvey Lake since about 9:30 today searching for a man who went in the water after riding a Jet Ski Thursday night and disappeared. The location is between the bridges at Jacobs Road and Oak Street.
The dive team and a search team from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources both used SONAR to locate the victim.
