The way to reduce health insurance is to allow the 1300+ insurance companies to compete against each other on the interstate. Allow the individuals seeking health insurance to form groups. Tort reform should be added as well. The health insurance industry is over-regulated, not under-regulated
If a private corporation operated simular to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, the government would rule it's practices to be illegal, and justifiably so. Numerous executives would be in prison. Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae can be added to that list. They demanded banks lend money to borrowers who couldn't afford it and bailed them out with money which has been printed but not yet earned. Where do that leave our children and grandchildren? What private corporation has the power to make anyone buy anything he/she doesn't want? Only illegal entities like the Mafia. And the government. That's socialistic and we are sliding into socialiam incrementally.
