Not only does H4H use materials from deconstruction to help build homes they also sell them at heavily discounted prices through the program they call ReStore. This 1.) helps them get funding 2.) Helps people who are on tight budgets do maintenance and do budget remodels.

With the condition Youngstown is in it would be great to see this or a similar program happen, not dependant on taxpayer money, of course, but through people who are generous with their time.

Doubtful there will be a real recovery. We are entering into something similar to Japan's lost decade.

Habitat for Humanity has been doing deconstruction for years. It must make some sense if they continue to do it. It sounds like it is being done as an experimental run, why not let the kid who has a passion for it and actually got the money do it?

These council members are making absolutely zero sense. They must be relying on that great Youngstown education state regulators have been singing praises of.

So wait, Betras wants to try to get the commisioners to use county money to figure out why people don't want to give the county money?

Weathermen are better at making predictions. Bernanke didn't see the recession coming how the heck would he know when it ends? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INmqvibv4...

"A great industrial nation is controlled by it's system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the world--no longer a government of free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of small groups of dominant men." — President Woodrow Wilson

Good Job Jimbo.

I believe the child just wants attention. If you don't want to say the pledge don't say it.... if you have trouble with a line in it skip the line... Why does the ACLU have to get involved in all these stupid cases.

sm91678, the canfield charge was most likely someone from compass west visiting canfield. That is the only possibility that comes to my mind.

HT, that is true they do seem to be trying to copy the aging Civic design which is due for a redesign shortly. I guess they got ahead for a year with the additional gear in most of their cars so they can say they are better on the highway.

Hope, thats 8 billion of longterm liabilities owed to the taxpayer. That's forgetting about the 45 or so on the equity side the government has in the company. They paid back the money using the money that was borrowed the press release said. According to the balance sheet they released they have 75 billion in longterm liabilities and total liabilities are exceeding total assets.
