You know people on here keep point fingers and blaming Richard and then for some reason the ex-girlfriend's family? Are you serious, her family? Did you ever stop and think it is the addiction? People who are exteme addicts are controlled by the addiction, whatever that may be. The whole situation is very sad. Since Richard took his own life there will be no clear cut answers to to why, only speculation. Sometimes the speculation is misguided by those who want to play the blame game. Walk a true mile in any of their shoes and them come back and point a fingers. I am sure you will view it differently.
cambridge: I am very glad that GM in Lordstown is staying open. I really do hope that they are adding on two more shifts. But the Valley has been prosimed or told things so many times and it never came through. So I think for many people it is a, We will believe it when we see it, kind of thing! I am so pulling for our community.
Unions are bad! I see them protecting jobs of people who do not deserve them. They also make demands that are too much and if they don't get what they want they cry and go on strike. I mean it is not just the auto industry! There are too many unions! There are also unions in which can never go on strike, like firefighters, and police officers. The crazy part is many GM workers make(made) more money then most firefighters and police officers. Sounds fair that GM workers stand in one place doing the same job, and firefighters and police officer risk their lives everyday. Makes perfect sense to me. How about you? Unions are driving the US into the ground!

dps for your info I stay in a outside youngstown. I am very education, not on unemployment. Actaully my hubby makes enough money to be a stay at home mom, so we are able to raise our children ourselves. As for schools, my son goes to a very good school, actually scored an excellent on their state report card. So please quit stereotyping me. By the way, you have not even said where you moved to? You really are proud of where you live, right? Lastly ,in my eyes, you are the scum and ignorant person, not myself!
They never said the were not looking for him. They could not do a mass search. Big difference! I love how people read and see thing they way they want to. How do you know they would be having a mass search of paid employees in Canfield or Poland. There would be a mass search but it would be done by voluteers. It would be the same anywhere you go around the mahoning valley. If you look at and child who has gone missing, it takes so many VOLUTEERS!

I can't stand people who are oringinally from this area, move away, and believe they are better then the people who still live there! My dad risked his life everyday at work as a firefighter in youngstown, and started out making less then someone who stands in a line and makes one motion or puts a book in the car. Guys who put in 30 yrs at GM vs 30 yrs as a firefight made more money too. As for benefits GM workers have the best insurance and pay minimal! I am a great American! All I know is that GM's demise is do to GREED! It is do to people expect more money for the same job. I understand the cost of living increase, but they got way more then that!

Dentist and Eye are insurances that many companies do offer, but the employee has to choose to get it and pay for it. And yes when I go to the denstist they do ask if I have insurance!
