Quick story. In September, I was walking behind Kelly Pavlik's father, Mike, after a crazy weigh-in before Pavlik's fight with Jermain Taylor.

We were going down the escalator and Mike said aloud that he was happy he wore dark pants because he just wet himself.

A few months later, Mike spotted me and said, "I had no idea you were standing behind me! I'm reading the paper and the next thing I see is a quote about how I peed my pants!"

Those kinds of quotes have earned me the nickname "Off the record Scalzo." Whenever I walk into the Southside Boxing Club, everyone turns to me and says, "OK, everybody be quiet. Scalzo's here."

I mention this because I'll be blogging live from Vegas over the next week and I'll do my best to bring you behind the scenes. But I'm not sure I'll get to be behind the scenes that often, so this blog might be filled with stories about weird people walking around Vegas.

This will be my first trip to Vegas and, although it will be difficult to leave Ohio in February, I'll do my best to grin and bear it.
