Musser 50th anniversary
Donald and Mary Musser of New Middletown celebrated their 50th anniversary Sept. 13, 2020, with a gathering of family and friends.
They were married Sept. 12, 1970, at Tower Church in Grove City, Pa.
They are members of St. John Lutheran Church in Petersburg, where Mary serves as a deacon,
and both are members of the Springfield Township Historical Society.
A graduate of Penn State University, Donald was a U.S. Army veteran stationed in Alaska, and has been a farmer all of his life. He was employed at several farm machinery dealers and worked as a truck driver.
Mary graduated from Jamison Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in New Castle and PSU. She worked as a nurse for many years, specializing in neonatal intensive care, and retired from Akron Children’s Hospital in 2015.
The couple have three children, Amy (Todd) Werner of Hedgesville, W.Va., Dan (Filia) Musser of New Middletown and Andrea (David) Walton of Cocharanton, Pa. They also have 12 grandchildren.
Donald enjoys working with antique tractors and taking them to local shows. Mary enjoys basketry, fiber crafts, and spinning and weaving.
