Lit Youngstown will offer an eight-session Writing Intensive focused on poetry starting in December.

Participants will be asked to submit a poetry chapbook manuscript of 16 to 24 pages. Each month, visiting poets will lead a discussion and make suggestions for strengthening the submitted manuscripts.

Visiting poets include Kathleen McGookey, Molly Fuller, Robert Miltner, Christine Stroud, Ron Mohring, Catherine Wing, Barbara Sabol, Jessica Jones and Mary Biddinger.

It will start a virtual session Dec. 8 with McGookey followed by in-person sessions from January to June at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown. A virtual session will end the workshop in late June.
