Tenors bring holiday sounds to Westminster

The Tenors will sing songs of the season when it performs Wednesday at Westminster College as part of its 2024-25 Celebrity Series.

Victor Micallef, Clifton Murray, Albetto Urso and Mark Masri started singing together as the Canadian tenors and shortened the name in 2012.

Since the group started, it has performed at NBA, NHL and MLB all-star games, appeared on “Oprah” and the Prime Time Emmy Awards, sung at the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and played such prestigious venues as The Hollywood Bowl, Radio City Music Hall and London’s Royal Albert Hall.

The name of the current tour is “Christmas with The Tenors,” which also is the title of the group’s sixth album, will feature songs celebrating the holiday season in the tenor’s style, which blends classical music, contemporary pop, classic rock and folk influences on standards and original songs.

The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Orr Auditorium, Westminster Drive, New Wilmington, Pa. Tickets range from $49 to $69 and are available online at www.westminster.edu/celebrity and by calling 724-946-7354.
