Catch a Train in August at Youngstown amp
YOUNGSTOWN — Train will roll into the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre on Aug. 12.
It will be the band’s second appearance at the downtown venue.
Train, led by Erie, Pa., native Pat Monahan on lead vocals, played the amphitheater in 2021.
Known for such songs as “Meet Virginia,” “Drops of Jupiter” and “Hey, Soul Sister” (which has more than a billion streams on Spotify), Train has won three Grammy Awards and two Billboard Music Awards.
Opening the show will be Edwin McCain, who had top 40 hits with “I’ll Be” and “I Could Not Ask for More.”
Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show range from $42.50 to $135 and go on sale 10 a.m. Friday at the Covelli Centre’s Southwoods Health box office and through Ticketmaster.
An online-only presale runs 10 a.m. to midnight Thursday with the password, JUPITER.
