Michael Jackson, Pink Floyd tributes return for River Rock
Two past favorites will return to Warren Community Amphitheatre as part of the 2025 River Rock at the Amp concert series.
A co-headlining show on June 21 is being billed as “the ultimate showdown of pop royalty” with the Michael Jackson tribute Who’s Bad and a Prince tribute artist.
River Rock promoter Ken Haidaris said, “Who’s Bad is bringing a different person from California (to portray Prince). It’s going to be a really big show.”
Returning to the amphitheater on Aug. 23 will be the Pink Floyd tribute act Wish You Were Here.
The Pat Benatar tribute act Invincible will open for Wish You Were Here.
The concert will celebrate two anniversaries — the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here and the 30th anniversary of the tribute act that took its name from that album.
Before Haidaris started Sunrise Entertainment, the first show he became involved with at the amphitheater was a Wish You Were Here concert presented by Walt English, who organized the concert series that was a precursor to River Rock at the Amp.
“They have continually just put money into their show,” Haidaris said. “They just keep buying more special effects, more lasers, more everything. And the music is absolutely timeless.”
Haidaris said they decided to announce these two larger shows early. The rest of the 12-concert River Rock at the Amp series will be announced April 15.
Tickets for each of these two shows will be $15 in advance and $20 day of show and are available at riverrockattheamp.com. Children ages 3 and older will need a ticket for Who’s Bad. Admission is free for children ages 12 and younger with a paying adult for Wish You Were Here.
