Cleveland Clinic expands access to primary care in the Mahoning Valley
Cleveland Clinic announced Wednesday that 18 Mahoning Valley healthcare providers will join the Cleveland Clinic health system.
The 15 primary care providers and three advanced practice providers will start to see patients as Cleveland Clinic caregivers Feb. 18. They formerly were affiliated with Steward Medical Group.
“We are honored to welcome caregivers who are dedicated to providing the highest standards of primary care to Mahoning Valley residents,” said Dr. Brian J. Harte, M.D., MHM, president of the East Submarket of Cleveland Clinic’s Northeast Ohio Market. “We are committed to meeting the needs of our communities and look forward to serving the patients in this region.”
To better serve local residents, providers will see patients at new locations in Austintown, Kinsman and Niles in addition to the current medical offices in Austintown and Warren. Patients can continue to see their same healthcare providers at their preferred locations.
“Primary care physicians provide critical healthcare services for individuals and families,” said James Gutierrez, M.D. chairman of Cleveland Clinic’s Primary Care Institute. “Access to a primary care provider is essential to keep up with preventive care, receive treatment for illnesses, manage certain chronic health conditions and get referred to see a specialist when needed.”
