Earth Day recycling event set April 22 at newspaper
WARREN — The Tribune Chronicle is sponsoring its annual Earth Day recycling collection 8 a.m. to noon April 22 in the newspaper’s back parking lot at the corner of Vine Avenue and South Street (U.S. Route 422).
Residential shredding by Protect-N-Shred will be 9 a.m. to noon, with a limit of four containers per vehicle. Newspaper staff will be available to help unload vehicles.
The following items will be accepted for recycling: newspapers, junk mail, envelopes, magazines, office paper, paper bags, encyclopedias, hard-bound books, paperback books, telephone books and thick manuals.
For every pound of recyclable material dropped off, a donation will be made to the Tribune Chronicle’s Newspaper in Education Literacy Program.
