April 19, 7:20 p.m. — Joseph Calinger III, 61, 4376 Meadowview Drive, Canfield, was arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle while impaired and was cited for assured clear distance following an investigation into a traffic crash in the South Raccoon Road-Kerrybrook Drive area.
6:31 p.m. — Theft of a wallet and contents reported at Sleep Inn, 5555 Patriot Blvd.
2:18 a.m. — Jay R. Weston, 37, 1901 E. Western Reserve Road, Springfield, was arrested on charges of theft and possession of drug paraphernalia (crack pipe), and on several Lordstown warrants for theft from auto, following the observation of the suspect leaning inside a vehicle parked at Sheetz, 1101 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
2:17 a.m. — Theft of a leaf blower and weed trimmer reported at Home Depot, 6100 Mahoning Ave.
April 18, 10:30 p.m. — Thomas P. Moomau, 31, 36 S. Whitney Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of kidnapping at 1355 Raspberry Lane.
5:35 p.m. — Edwin J. Davila, 20, 722 Lexington Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and was cited for not using a turn signal following a traffic stop on South Meridian Road.
