Hubbard leaders issue alert over surge in vehicle vandalism, thefts
HUBBARD — Residents here are being urged to lock their vehicles and avoid leaving valuables inside due to a recent increase in vehicle thefts and property theft from vehicles, according to city Safety Director Shawn P. Rentz.
The Hubbard City Police Department is maintaining 24/7 coverage and investigating the thefts, Rentz said in a statement Wednesday.
If residents see something happening, they are encouraged to call 911. Those with information about the thefts can contact police at 330-534-1133.
Other communities, including Liberty, Boardman and Austintown, have been hit with higher numbers of thefts from vehicles in recent weeks.
