GUEST SPEAKER: Unity Spirituality Centre, 1226 Naylor-Lloyd Road, is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve service 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Guest speaker is Chris Spensley, who will speak on “The Real Power of Gratitude.” Love offerings will be accepted.
THANKSGIVING SERVICE: St. Paul Lutheran Church, East Market Street, Warren, will have a Thanksgiving service 7 p.m. Wednesday.
GIRARD CHRISTMAS CONCERT: The Girard Community Swingtime Band Christmas concert will be 6 p.m. Sunday at Girard First Christian Church, 140 E. Broadway St. The event is free and refreshments will follow.
COOKIES AND COCOA: There will be a Christmas Concert, Cookies and Cocoa event at Grace Methodist Church, 1725 Drexel Ave. NW, Warren, 7 p.m. Dec. 4 featuring the Cortland Community Band. The public is invited to this free event to enjoy the holiday selections. Cookies and cocoa / coffee / tea will be served.
HOLIDAY HELP: Protestant Family Services is accepting applications for those in need of help for their children for the holidays. The agency needs gift cards, gifts and wrapping materials for gifts. All unwrapped gifts are due Dec. 9. Volunteers are needed Dec. 9 and 10 at New Bethel Baptist Church to help distribute gifts.

THANKSGIVING EVENT: First Baptist Church of Braceville, 1300 Cedar St. SW, is having a Thanksgiving meal basket and coat giveaway 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Limited supplies are available.
MOVIE SHOWING: New Covenant Baptist Church will show the movie “The Insanity of God” 6 p.m. Sunday.
FOUNDERS DAY: First Presbyterian Church, Mahoning Avenue, Warren, will mark its Founders Day 10 a.m. Sunday.
CHRISTMAS OF REMEMBRANCE: The Catholic Diocese of Youngstown is inviting families to attend the Christmas of Remembrance event at all four diocesan cemeteries on Dec. 6. Families can hang an ornament on the cemetery’s Christmas tree in memory of their loved ones. Families can bring their own ornament or decorate one provided by the diocese. Doors open 5 p.m. for registration, refreshments and ornament decorating. The prayer service starts at 6 p.m. All are welcome. The local cemeteries participating are Calvary Cemetery, Belle Vista Avenue, Youngstown, 330-792-4721; Resurrection Cemetery, Norquest Boulevard, Austintown, 330-799-1900; and All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta, 330-637-2761. BREAKFAST WITH THE BISHOP: The annual Breakfast with the Bishop to benefit Catholic Charities’ Basic Needs Assistance Program will be 8 to 10 a.m. Dec. 3 at St. Michael Family Life Center, 300 N. Broad St., Canfield. Breakfast is $30 per person and will be provided by A La Cart Catering in Canfield.
No tickets will be sold at the door; advanced ticket sales only.
GIVE CATHOLIC: Registration is now open to participate in the 2024 #iGiveCatholic on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 3.
This is the 10th year for #iGiveCatholic, a crowdfunding event that provides an opportunity for the Catholic community to come together, give back and give Catholic.
