Toll rates for travelers on the Ohio Turnpike will increase Jan. 1.
The rate for E-ZPass customers with Class 1 passenger vehicles will increase to 7.1 cents per mile in 2025 from the 6.5 cents per mile now. The cash / credit card rate will increase to 10.4 cents per mile next year from 9.6 cents per mile this year.

The rate adjustment was authorized by members of the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission to meet operating, debt service and capital improvement costs. The schedule of tolls for 2024-28 was approved by the commission in April 2023, according to a news release.
The commission relies primarily on toll revenue to operate and maintain the Ohio Turnpike’s infrastructure, which includes road, bridge and other projects, the release states.
