NILES — The Trumbull County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal house fire over the weekend as Jacki Clemens Parkey, 69, of Niles.

The fire broke out just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday at 325 Trumbull Drive.

The Niles Fire Department received a call at 1:24 a.m. and arrived three minutes later to find the home fully engulfed in flames, with most of the roof already collapsed, according to Niles fire Chief John Stevens.

Firefighters worked to control the blaze and attempted a rescue, but Parkey was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Niles Fire Department.
