Youngstown man indicted in killing on East Judson Avenue

YOUNGSTOWN — David Tribble, 45, of Mistletoe Avenue was indicted on two counts of murder with two firearm specifications Thursday in the July 11 shooting death of Jermaine A. Tillis Sr., 51.

Tillis was found in the 300 block of East Judson Avenue at a little after 5 a.m.

Tillis was killed following an altercation, according to a U.S. Marshal’s Service press release and a Youngstown police report. Tillis was found dead on the driveway of a home on East Judson, the report states.

A murder charge was filed against Tribble July 11 in Youngstown Municipal Court. Tribble waived his preliminary hearing Nov. 14, and the case was bound over to a Mahoning County grand jury. His bond is $250,000.

Tillis, who was known as “Six,” was born in Youngstown and graduated from Youngstown East High School in 1991. He attended the New Castle School of Trades, according to his obituary.
