10 Mahoning Valley fire departments get grants

The Ohio Department of Commerce Division of State Fire Marshal has awarded approximately $2.5 million to fire departments across the state, including several in Mahoning and Trumbull counties, to enhance training and equipment for first responders.
The funds were distributed through the 2025 Equipment and Training Reimbursement grant programs.
Fire departments in Mahoning County receiving funds are:
● Campbell Fire Department, $6,480.
● Damascus Volunteer Fire Department, $2,543.05
● Green Township Volunteer Fire Department, $850.
● New Middletown Village Fire Department, $995.
● Western Reserve Joint Fire District (Poland), $6,450.
Fire departments in Trumbull County receiving funds are:
● Champion Township Fire Department, $14,675.
● Eagle Joint Fire District (Hubbard), $13,000.
● Howland Township Fire Department, $9,019.78
● Bazetta Fire Department, $1,650.
● Lordstown Village Fire Department, $3,225.
