Autism Society of Mahoning Valley gets new office
YOUNGSTOWN — The Autism Society of Mahoning Valley (ASMV) has opened its first staffed office space in over a decade inside Easterseals of Northeast Ohio headquarters at 299 Edwards St. in Youngstown.
The new office reflects ASMV’s growth and long-term commitment to serve local families by providing vital resources, advocacy, and social programming for individuals with autism across their lifespan. From this new location, ASMV will coordinate events, conduct outreach, meet with families, and host training sessions and consultations in collaboration with community organizations.
This is the first time ASMV has had a permanent physical office and staffed presence since a brief period between 2010 and 2014. The return to a dedicated space marks a renewed chapter for the organization, which has significantly expanded its visibility and programs in recent years, including its flagship annual Mahoning Valley WARRIOR event and family support initiatives.
“This is more than just an office — it’s a home base for progress, outreach and connection,” said Stacie Bacorn, executive director of the Autism Society of Mahoning Valley. “For the first time in many years, we have a permanent, professional space where we can meet with families, collaborate with community partners, and expand the programs and services our autism community so greatly needs. We are deeply grateful to Easterseals for welcoming us into their facility and sharing this vision of inclusion and support.”
Easterseals CEO Jody Klase expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership.
“Easterseals is thrilled to welcome the Autism Society into our building. Our missions are deeply aligned — both organizations work daily to empower individuals with disabilities and their families. This arrangement allows us to work even more collaboratively to improve lives in our region. We look forward to the energy and impact ASMV brings to this shared space,” Klase said.
