HUBBARD TOWNSHIP — Hubbard Bedford Road between Pothour Wheeler Road and Schotten Road will be closed today through May 16 for a culvert replacement. The county engineer’s office is recommending motorists travel north on Pothour Wheeler Road and south on Schotten Road.

Crews battle Hubbard fire

HUBBARD — Fire crews from several departments responded Sunday morning to a house fire in the 3200 block of Shadyside Drive near the intersection of West Liberty Street.

Crews from the Eagle Joint Fire District and other departments were called around 8 a.m. to a fire that started in a second-floor bedroom..Crews were able to get the fire under control quickly. Most of the damage was to the second floor. There were no injuries.
