WHAT: City council meeting Monday

PRESENT: Bill Williams, Bonnie Viele, Robin Zambrini, Michael Mogg, Cathy Cummings, Jerome Crowe, Michael Kerr and Lorrie Brown

Council:

• Approved D-at-Large Councilman Jerome Crowe’s request for Law Director Mark Villano to draw up necessary legislation to participate in the resurfacing of Elmwood Drive.

• Approved D-2nd Ward Councilwoman Robin Zambrini’s request for Villano to draw up the necessary legislation for an ordinance adopting an alternative tax budget for the city’s 2026 fiscal year and submitting it to the county’s budget commission.

• Suspended the second and third reading of the city’s support of Issue 2 on the May 6 statewide ballot and approved passing it.

• Gave first reading to a resolution authorizing MS Consultants to file a NatureWorks Grant application with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources on behalf of the city.
