Jack R. Fetherolf 1949-2022

AUSTINTOWN — Jack R. Fetherolf, 73, passed away Friday, March 18, 2022, with his family by his side, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Born March 14, 1949, in Akron, he was the son of Lester and Thomasina Krause Fetherolf.

Prior to his retirement, he worked in maintenance at General Motors Corp. for more than 32 years. He owned and operated J&J Waste Removal, Evergreen Lawns and Evergreen Fertilizing.

Jack was a member of Youngstown Rifle and Pistol Club and the American Pool Players Association. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed golfing, Wednesday night pingpong, and traveling with his wife, Joyce. He loved spending time with his wife, family and all his pets. Jack was always the first one to help his family and friends.

To cherish his memory, he leaves his loving wife, Joyce, whom he married Oct. 7, 1980; his brother, sister, his many nieces and nephews and a grandson.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Becky Sickle and Donna King; and his in-laws, Valent and Mary Galik.

The family will receive relatives and friends 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, with a service immediately following at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
