Janet Carchedi 1944-2023

She was born Feb. 10, 1944, in Youngstown, the daughter of Dale and Margret Dolan Baker.

Janet was an active member of Mary Help of Christians Church, serving in several ministries, and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. In addition, Janet was a lifetime volunteer at Children’s Hospital in Dayton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Paul; and two sisters, Delores and Ruth.

Janet is survived by her husband of 58 years, Frank Carchedi; sons, Frank Jr. (Michelle) Carchedi and Joseph (America) Carchedi; grandsons, Thomas Carchedi and Nicolas Carchedi; and granddaughter, Michelle Carchedi.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2023, at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, 954 N. Maple Ave., Fairborn, with Fr. Ambrose Dobrozsi as celebrant. The family will receive friends in the gathering space of the church from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul, Fairborn, in Janet’s memory.
