Mark A. Kozar 1958-2023

YOUNGSTOWN — Mark A. Kozar, 65, a lifelong resident of Youngstown, lost his battle with cancer, Monday, June 12, 2023, in Phoenix, Arizona, surrounded by his close family.
Mark grew up on the West Side of Youngstown, where he attended Chaney High School, Class of 1976, and proudly remained close with many of his classmates. He was an employee and chef at Antone’s Banquet Center (previously of Boardman) for over 30 years.
Mark greatly enjoyed ’70s and ’80s music, as well as gardening and being outside.
Mark was predeceased by his mother, Margaret Kozar; father, Andrew Kozar; and sister, Lisa Kozar.
He is survived by his best friend and twin brother, Matthew Kozar (Melissa); son, Corey Kozar; daughters, Breanna Kozar (Steve Hostutler), Kayla Kozar and Lindsay Schoenfeld; niece, Kristen Kozar; and granddaughter, Dylan Kozar.
Wherever he went, near or far, he ran into people he knew. We have no doubt Mark will forever be missed by everyone to whom he brought joy in his life.
