Patricia Borger 1945-2023

She was born June 1, 1945, in Quakertown, Pa., a daughter of the late Claude Barthol and the late Pearl Mae McCarthy Barthol. Patricia was raised by her grandparents, the late Mabel G. McCarthy and the late Ellsworth Weber.

She was employed as a caseworker and supervisor with the Mahoning County Department of Job and Family Services for 22 years and was a member of the Victory Christian Center Warren Campus. Pat enjoyed gardening, quilting, crafting and traveling with her husband of 48 years. In addition to the time she spent with Phil, Pat was especially happy when she could be with her children and grandchildren, enjoying numerous family functions together.

Surviving are her husband, Donald Philip Borger of Cortland; four daughters, Debbie (Ray) Hartley of Canfield, Donna (Jeffrey) Feo of Columbiana, Lori (Tom) Smith of Cortland and Kari (Bryan) Clark, also of Cortland; son, David Cressman of Jim Thorpe, Pa.; along with 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are six sisters, Delores Alicia of Florida, Jean Barthol, also of Florida, Claudia Barthol of Alabama, Pearl Barthol of Florida, Linda Syracuse of Missouri and Terri Barthol of Florida, along with one brother, Claude (Sharell) Barthol, also of Florida.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, who raised her.

A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, at The River Church on Tod Avenue in Warren.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. until service time, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any material contributions be made to the Warren Family Mission, 155 Tod Ave. NW, Warren, OH 44485, in her memory.
