Paula Powell 1936-2023

She was born March 16, 1936, in Mansfield.

She attended DePauw University (1958), where she met her husband of 66 years, William R. Powell. Paula took great joy in raising her three children, Steven Bruce, James Edward and Karen Lynn Powell in Hubbard. She was an avid gardener, painter and a talented seamstress.

Paula was an active member of the Hubbard community and spent a lot of time volunteering. She was active with Delta Gamma alumni, Garden Club, Junior League of Youngstown and Monday Musical — where she was the talent booker for many years.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Margaret Weir.

She is survived by her brother, John Weir; her husband, Bill; her children, Steve (Donna Cackley), Jim (Susan) and Karen; and her beloved grandchildren, Kirsten, Jamie and Sara.

There will be no public memorial.
