Joseph Liguori 1957-2023
PEORIA, Ariz. — Joseph Liguori, 66, passed away peacefully, Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, after a courageous 18-plus year battle with cancer.
Joe was born in Warren, on June 1, 1957, to Donato and Theresa Lapicirella Liguori. He spent his childhood in Niles and graduated from Niles McKinley High School in 1975. He earned his B.A. in electrical engineering at YSU and furthered his education with an MBA.
Joe spent his career at Delphi Packard Electric and retired as their Global Engineering IT Manager, when his battle with cancer forced him to focus on his health.
Joe traveled all over the world and introduced many new cultures and languages to his family, traveling often to Germany and taking his family to live in Queretaro, Mexico for three years.
Most everyone will remember his motorcycles and extended family of riders. Many years were enjoyed riding with friends and sharing a lifetime of laughs.
Joe is survived by his wife of 42 years, Karen Ifft Liguori; and his sons, Ryan (Linda) and Clifford. He also shared the love of his grandson, Lucky.
Throughout his cancer battle, Joe tried to help other victims by sharing his experiences and new treatments. He had an impact on many lives all over the globe, even starting a website to help others. He will be missed by a multitude of extended family and the loving friends that touched our lives.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Donato and Theresa. He leaves his surviving siblings, Cathy (Alec) Lukasko, Nick (Cindy) Liguori, Dan (David) Liguori and Diane Bender.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, at Ciminero’s Banquet Center, 123 N Main St., Niles. Casual dress suggested and luncheon will be served.
