John E. Barr Jr. 1944-2024

John was born July 26, 1944, in Kingsman, the son of John E. Sr. and Betty Jane Snyder Barr.

He worked for SaraMar Aluminum, was a tow truck driver, and a mechanic for various car shops. He loved his cars, attending local car shows, country music, gardening, football and his dog, Molly. John enjoyed shooting the breeze with his buddies and goofing off with his nephew, Jerry.

John will be remembered lovingly by his wife of 33 years, Karen Marzula Barr; three children, John (Peggy) Grim, Marian (Joe) Marriotti and Truman (Connie) Grim; five grandchildren, Joseph, Shelby (Jon), Brittany, McKenzie and Caleb; two great-grandchildren, Anthony and Ivoree; four sisters, JoAnne Gordon, Gerry L. Ennett, Elizabeth (Donald) Guffey and Roberta (Donald) Allen; many loving nieces and nephews, especially Richard and Linda McClain; dear friends, Frank Emerson, Don and Sandi Parker, Art and Tonya Woolensack; and his Home Depot family.

Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and baby Richard.

Per John’s request, there will be no calling hours or services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in John’s name to his family and forwarded to the funeral home.
