Richard S. Pasko 1941-2024
SEVEN LAKES, N.C. — Richard Steven Pasko, 83, passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024, at his residence.
Richard was born Jan. 20, 1941, to the late John and Betty Chako Pasko. He was proudly born in Girard and was a longtime resident of Salem.
He is survived by his children, Richard Steven Pasko Jr., Julie Schuster (Ted), Andrew Pasko (Kimberly), James Fitch (Larisa), Thomas Fitch (Laura), Daniel Barnes (Laura) and Joseph Barnes (Michelle); grandchildren, Zachary, Gus, Kayla, Brandon, Madeline, Meredith, Joshua, Alexandra, Nicole, Kimberly, Richard, Jena, Emma and Emily; and other extended family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, John Pasko; brother, John Pasko; and his beloved wife of over 20 years, Bonnie Getz Pasko.
Richard was a chiropractor and practiced both in Salem, Ohio, and Seven Lakes, North Carolina. He was an avid golfer with a scratch handicap. In fact, he was skilled enough to have played on the Seniors Tour. Richard also was a lover of whales. He was a very jovial person and always had a joke to tell.
He was raised Catholic but became a very loyal member of West End United Methodist Church.
A celebration of life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, at West End United Methodist Church, 4015 NC-73, West End, NC 27376, with the Rev. Jane Leechford officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to West End United Methodist Church.
