Philip N. Pirlozzi 1937-2024
VIENNA — Philip N. Pirlozzi, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, May 31, 2024, at his home.
He was born on July 13, 1937, to the late Philip L. and Bertha Ann Santillo Pirlozzi.
Phil was a graduate of New Castle High School Class of 1955. After high school, he attended Youngstown College and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. During this time, he met his soulmate, Rosalie, whom he married in 1958. They spent 66 wonderful years together.
He served as safety director at Wheatland Tube Company, until his retirement in 2003. Phil was a dedicated family man; they were his first and foremost true passion in life. He enjoyed waking up and spending time praying, studying his Bible and reading his daily devotional.
He was preceded in death by his parents; great-granddaughter, Sophia Slifka; brother, Tom Pirlozzi, and sister, Frances DeMarco.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rosalie Pirlozzi; children, Felicia (Bob) Brown and Andrew Pirlozzi; grandchildren, Joshua Brown, Deanna (Joe) Slifka and Matthew Pirlozzi; great-granddaughters, Isabella and Eliana Slifka, and numerous other extended family members.

Calling hours will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a funeral Mass to follow at 1 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2024, at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, OH 44473. Family is in the care of Lane Funeral Home, Madasz Chapel.
