Joanne Allison 1944-2024

She was born Oct. 25, 1944, in Youngstown, to Oliver and Lois Lingafelt Dressel.

Joanne graduated from Chaney High School in 1962 and Trumbull Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1965. She then worked as a nurse for 44 years until her retirement from Alliance Hospital in 2011. Joanne was also a member and EMT with the Damascus Volunteer Fire Department.

She attended Silver Park Church of Christ.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jennifer (Dan) Peterson; siblings, Richard Dressel, Donna (Scott) Parker, James E. Dressel and Jinbo Li (Dale) Dressel; four grandchildren, Daniel M. Davis, Tanner Davis, Ethan Davis and Kate Davis; three great-grandchildren, Karina, Jackson and Makenzie; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Daniel G. Davis; brothers, Robert, Ronald and Dale; and a sister-in-law, Heidi Dressel.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2024, with visitation an hour prior, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, 75 S. Union Ave., Alliance.
