Danil K. Blake 1964-2024

Born Nov. 17, 1964, in Flint, Michigan, he was the cherished son of Keith Leonard Blake and Rita Jean Schultz Blake.

Danil made Newton Falls his home for over 20 years. Known for his strong work ethic and kind spirit, he held various roles throughout his career, including cook and road construction. He was a proud and active member of the American Legion in Lake Milton, where he enjoyed connecting with fellow members.

Danil had a love for life’s simple pleasures, including solving crossword puzzles, reading Reader’s Digest and playing poker with friends and family. His sharp wit, easygoing nature and devotion to loved ones will be deeply missed.

Danil is survived by his loving family: his mother, Rita Blake of Genoa City, Wisconsin; sisters, Renie (Brian) Bright of Grant, Alabama, and Theresa (Mike) Wilson of Crystal Lake, Illinois; brothers, Joseph (Amy) Blake and Thomas Blake, both of Newton Falls, and Robert Blake of Somerset, Pa.

Danil was preceded in death by his father, Keith Blake; and his brother, James Blake.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, monetary donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org.
