Donald Barton Gahagan Jr., 1954-2024

He was born in Youngstown on July 9, 1954, to the late Donald and Betty States Gahagan.

On Sept. 6, 1975, Don married Mary Hucul in Youngstown.

Don received his bachelor’s degree in education from Youngstown State University.

They eventually moved to Bryan before settling in Napoleon when Don took a supervisory role at Campbell Soup Company. He retired after 28 years.

Don was a loyal fan of the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed traveling with his family.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mary; children, Kelly (Anthony) Heckler and Andrew (Emily Rees) Gahagan; granddaughter, Harper Rees Gahagan; and brothers, Jim (Melissa) Gahagan and Jeff Gahagan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
