Elaine A. Croutch 1927-2024

She was born Aug. 27, 1927, in Youngstown, to her parents, Jack and Philomena Gentile Wilmitch.

Elaine began dating her husband, William, before he joined the service. After he was discharged, they married on July 16, 1949, at the young age of 21.

She was a founding member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and enjoyed cooking, especially big holiday dinners. She was an avid golfer and bowler who enjoyed shopping, dancing and traveling. Her many trips included Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Florida and Hawaii.

Elaine leaves her husband of 75 years; her daughters, Susanne (David) Verdinek of Boardman and Nancy Williams of Canfield; her grandchildren, Kellie (Brad) Bietsch of Austintown, Christopher (Chelsea) Moschella of League City, Texas, and Marc (Mimi) Moschella of Spring Hill, Tennessee; her great-grandchildren, Olivia, Summer and Myla; her sister, Marlene Wilmitch; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Connie, Betty and Rose (Honey); brother, Jack; and son-in-law, Daniel Williams.

A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2024, in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown. Calling hours will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to Mass at the church.
