Greta F. Dunn 1948-2024

Greta was born March 13, 1948, in Richmond, California, the daughter of Florencio C. and Mina E. Paarvi Agustin.

She was a graduate of Richmond Union High School and later earned an associate degree from Youngstown State University.

Greta began her career in accounting for Bank of America while living in California. When she moved to the Youngstown area, she worked for the Burdman Group and then later the public library in Youngstown.

Greta was an avid reader, an exceptional cook and an enthusiastic member of the YMCA. She was very proud of her Filipino and Finnish heritage and cooked amazing traditional dishes.

Known for her warmth and sense of humor, Greta will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She loved dancing, playing bocce at the MVR and simply spending time with her family.

Greta will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 57 years, Dennis Dunn, and their adored cat, Swish. She is survived by her two daughters, Nicole Toft (Chris) and Michelle Cosgrove (Eric). One of Greta’s greatest joys in her life was her two granddaughters, Janie and Luc, and being an amazing GG to them. Greta also held a part of her heart for her two granddoggies, Sugar and Gumbo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved brother, Jay Agustin.

In lieu of flowers, a remembrance can be made in Greta’s name to the YMCA of Youngstown.
