Linda J. Davis 1945-2024
AUSTINTOWN — Linda J. Davis, 79, passed away unexpectedly, Friday afternoon, Nov. 22, 2024, with her family by her side, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
She was born April 29, 1945, in New Castle, Pa., the daughter of John Bidinotto and JoAnn Rotz McBride.
Linda was a 1963 graduate of Youngstown East High School and spent most of her adult life as a homemaker, raising and caring for her family.
She married Robert E. Davis on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 1970, and they shared 54 years of marriage and many happy memories together. He survives her.
Linda was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Austintown. She enjoyed going to the gym with her friends, watching Hallmark movies, decorating her home and baking, especially around the holidays. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and being her grandchildren’s biggest fan at their sporting events. Linda was a kind and caring wife, mother, nana and friend. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Besides her husband, Linda is survived by three children, Scott (Colette) Davis of Austintown, Kimberly (Jay) Hash of Canfield and Robin (Matthew) Nelson of Cortland. She also leaves behind three half-sisters, Rebecca Bidinotto (Mike Piskura), Jenny (Jeff) Bidinotto-Laslow and Loretta Bidinotto-Ecklund; two half-brothers, David (Mary) Bidinotto and Andrew (Julianne) Bidinotto; and nine beloved grandchildren, Scott (Tiffany), Nicholas (Tori), Christian and Samantha Davis, Lily, Luke and Olivia Hash, and Sydnie and Connor Nelson; and a great-grandson soon to be born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William Bidinotto; a half-brother, John Bidinotto; a half-sister, Sheila Bidinotto Monroe; and her many beloved pets throughout the years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 2024, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 4490 Norquest Blvd., Austintown.
Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
She will be laid to rest in Brunstetter Cemetery, Austintown Township.
In lieu of flowers, Linda’s family requests contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice, in her memory.
