Madalyn J. Palma 1940-2024
BOARDMAN — Madlyn J. Palma, 84, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024.
She was born in Youngstown, Nov. 8, 1940, a daughter of the late Ralph and Helene Murphy.
She was a proud graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and had a professional journey that led her to become an assistant vice president for Metropolitan National Bank.
Madlyn found joy in the simplest pleasures, particularly her time spent with friends at her card club, where laughter and companionship filled the air. She prided herself in creating family traditions, including turning our home into a Christmas wonderland.
Madlyn was surrounded by love. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Matthew A. Palma, with whom she shared 57 beautiful years of marriage; and sisters, Nadine Miller and Eveleen Fasano.
She is survived by her dear sister, Karen Cooney of Dublin; her loving daughter and son, Jillene Palma of Irvine, California, and Mark Palma (Heather Kampine) of Concord Township; four adoring grandchildren, Taylor Palma, Ryan Palma, Jack Kampine and Olivia Kampine; and grandpets, Stella and Mouse.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024, at St. Charles Church.
