Patricia L. Goode 1943-2024

Patty, as she was affectionately known, was born Sept. 17, 1943, in Warren, a daughter of Charles and Priscilla Shewell Mawby.

She graduated from Champion High School in 1961 and spent her adult life as a homemaker, raising and caring for her family.

Patty married Carl L. Goode Jr. on May 26, 1988; they shared 36 years of marriage and many happy memories together. He survives her.

She enjoyed crafts, crocheting and drawing. She was also an avid gardener and loved maintaining her yard.

Besides her husband, Patty is survived by six children, Brenda Kerr of Twinsburg, Jacquelyn Luzar of Leavittsburg, Victoria Luzar of Niles, Frank Luzar of Mineral Ridge, Dennis Luzar of Niles, and Amber Beckwith, also of Niles. She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Patricia Serva; and two sisters, JoAnnTabor and Judith Moran.

Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024, at Lane Funeral Homes, Mineral Ridge Chapel, 1350 N. Canfield Niles Road, Mineral Ridge, with Pastor Joel Theis officiating.

Friends may call 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, at the funeral home.

She will be laid to rest, immediately following services, in Kerr Cemetery, Weathersfield Township.
