Robert S. Hlaudy 1946-2024
MASURY — Robert S. Hlaudy, 78, passed away Monday morning, Nov. 18, 2024, at Sharon Regional Medical Center.
Robert was born Jan. 9, 1946, in Warren, a son of the late Steve and Mary Hlaudy.
He was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and a veteran of the United States Army.
He served his country during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. Before he was discharged, he married the love of his life, Beverly Hlaudy, on July 19, 1972, and they began their lives together.
He worked with Local 396 in Youngstown for 38 years as a fitter until he retired in 2004.
As an avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish and hunt deer and waterfowl. He always said, “I liked to hunt deer and waterfowl, but nothing compares to a bowl of owl or eagle soup.”
Robert will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Beverly Hlaudy; children, Carl (Wendi) Hlaudy and Kerry (Larry) Esmond; grandchildren, Kaylea, Kaitlyn, Kaleb, Kaden, Kaysa and Lynzee Esmond; great-grandson, Grayson Chavers; and siblings, John (Jennie) Hlaudy, Carol Martin and David (Carol) Hlaudy.
Family and friends may visit 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, 2024, with a memorial service at 6 p.m., at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Madasz Chapel, 6923 Warren Sharon Road, Brookfield.
