Thomas J. Wrona 1943-2024

Born June 22, 1943, in Youngstown, he was the son of the late Edward and Pauline Ostrowski Wrona.

Thomas grew up on the South Side of Youngstown. He graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School, where he excelled in football and graduated in 1962. In 1964, he was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served three years in Europe. On Aug. 2, 1967, he married Elizabeth Rennie and together shared over 50 years of marriage until her passing in 2018.

He worked at WCI Steel in Warren for 30 years until his retirement in 2006. He enjoyed traveling, going for walks in Poland Woods and watching sports.

Thomas leaves behind his daughter, Dorothy Wrona of Florida; and three nieces.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward, in 2000.

Thomas will be interred in St. John’s Episcopal Church, next to his wife.
