Barbara L. Fullerman 1933-2024
POLAND — Barbara L. Fullerman, 91, passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2024, at her home, with her loving family by her side.
Barbara was born Feb. 19, 1933, in Youngstown, the daughter of Aloysius and Anna Rokita Makara. She was a proud 1951 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School.
Devoted to her Catholic faith, Barbara was a member of St. Dominic Church, Third Order of St. Dominic, Rosary Altar Society, Cursillo Movement, Perpetual Adoration at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica and Right to Life of Mahoning County.
Barbara was an active person, raising six children and working at General Electric Lamp Plant, and was an Avon representative. She was a home aide for the elderly for many years.
She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends, and watching Notre Dame football, “Wheel of Fortune” and “Family Feud.”
Her husband, Richard A. Fullerman, whom she married July 21, 1956, passed away Oct 23, 2003.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Jeff (Karen) Fullerman, Corrine (Kelly) Sallaz, Brian (Kim) Fullerman, Frank (Christine) Fullerman, Lori (Aaron) Bush and Susan Fullerman; grandchildren, Greg (Aliesha) Fullerman, Lindsay Fullerman, Lauren Fullerman, Alaina Fullerman, Jared Fullerman, Alexa Fullerman, Logan Bush and Jacob Bush; and great-grandchildren, Allie Fullerman and Lena Fullerman.
Barbara was preceded in death by her brothers, Albert Makara and Edward Makara; and sisters, Irene Hedberg, Theresa Kuzman and Rosemary Chestnut.
Family and friends may call 9 to 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024, at St. Dominic Church, 77 E. Lucius Ave., Youngstown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Frassati Davis, O.P.
Interment will be in Boardman Cemetery.
