Lora J. Pirko 1934-2024

HUBBARD — Lora Jane Pirko, 90, died Monday morning, Dec. 9, 2024.

She was born June 30, 1934, in Youngstown, a daughter of Guido and Anna Palmer DePasquale.

Lora was the bank manager at Western Reserve Bank for 40 years and formerly worked for Lowellville Bank. She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. She cherished the life she was given and gave God all the glory. Lora was a strong woman in her faith and how she loved.

Lora was the absolute best mom and nana; her family was her life, especially her grandchildren. She made sure you felt her love and presence in every way possible. Whether it was making pizzelles, wedding soup or pastina, she was sure to make everyone smile and laugh. Anything she could do with her family, she enjoyed doing.

She leaves behind her husband, Eugene Pirko, whom she married May 17, 1958; a son, Eugene “Chip” Pirko, and his wife, Denise of Columbus; two daughters, Diane Corroto, and her husband, Joe of Boardman, and Jacquelyn Duke, and her husband, Chuck of Amarillo, Texas; 10 grandchildren and their spouses; and seven great-granddaughters.

Lora was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Johnny Pirko; her brother, Joseph DePasquale; and sister, Mary Lou Nuzzo.

Private services were held. Interment took place in Hubbard Union Cemetery.
