Mary Catherine Llewellyn 1940-2024

She was born Nov. 28, 1940, in Youngstown, the daughter of Dionigi and Anna Barreca Fontanella.

Cathy was a 1958 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and resided most of her life in the Niles and Girard areas. She worked at Packard Electric and was a self-employed cleaning lady for many years.

She was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Rose Church in Girard and St. Stephen Church in Niles.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to country music and going to the casinos. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family.

Cathy is survived by a daughter, Lisa Llewellyn, and her fiance, Michael Coe of Farrell, Pa.; an adopted daughter, Martha Workman of McDonald; and adopted grandchildren, Melanie Smith, Emily Smith and Caleb Smith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Llewellyn, whom she married May 15, 1965, and who died Dec. 4, 2007; and a brother, Dominic Fontanella.

Calling hours will be 3:30 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home in Niles. A funeral service to follow at 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Pastor Chris Massey of Family Life Church in Hermitage, Pa. officiating.

Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery.
