Albert C. Guyer Jr. 1932-2024

Albert was born Sept. 8, 1932, in Youngstown, a son of Albert C. Sr. and Alice Wardle Guyer.

He was a 1950 graduate of North High School and attended Youngstown College. He worked in the accounting department at Youngstown Sheet & Tube, which later became LTV, for 34 years, retiring in 1986. He was elected to three terms as president of Local Union 3098.

Albert was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hubbard.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving with the 204th Field Artillery during the Korean War.

Albert will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his family; his wife, the former Phyllis J. Toperzer, whom he married June 1, 1957; his daughter, Cheryl Anderson of Boardman and a granddaughter, Laura (David) Makara. He also leaves his sister, Margaret “Peggy” Patterson of Titusville, Florida.

His parents preceded him in death.

In accordance with his wishes, no calling hours or services will be held.

Albert will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
