Anna C. Detwiler 1930-2025

She was born Dec. 24, 1930, in Columbiana, a daughter of Baz and Maggie Wilson Wellman.

Anna was a 1948 graduate of North Lima High School and spent her adult life as a homemaker, raising and caring for her family.

She married Enos M. Detwiler on Jan. 27, 1950. They shared 54 years of marriage and many happy memories. He preceded her in death, Sept. 13, 2004.

Anna was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed crafts, reading, crossword puzzles and going to garage sales. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, whom she dearly loved.

She is survived by four children, Mary Farr of Warren, Peggy Detwiler of Youngstown, Judy Detwiler of Niles and Dennis (Jane) Detwiler of Mineral Ridge. She also leaves behind a sister, Dorothy Smith of Columbiana; a brother, Lonnie (Caroline) Wellman of West Virginia; four grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Anna was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce, her parents and seven siblings.

Private funeral services will be held.

She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in Kerr Cemetery, Weathersfield Township.
