Carla D. Roland 1960-2025
YOUNGSTOWN — Carla D. Roland, born April 27, 1960, a daughter of John and Imogene Roland, reached her sunset, Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025.
Carla was was a graduate of East High School. She worked at Family Dollar for 30 years and was an avid card player and casino goer.
She was a great cook, socializer and shopper.
She leaves to cherish her memory, sisters, Crystal Roland of Columbus and Linda Roland-Henderson of Youngstown; and her best friend, Gladys Taltoan, also of Youngstown. She also leaves to cherish her memory, her favorite cousins, TuTu and Mildred Ann Lanier; and aunt, Essie Lanier, all of Youngstown; aunt, Mary Smith of Campbell; uncles, R.B.Roland, Bud Roland and Harry Clinkscale, all of Youngstown; aunt, Geraldine Ward; and uncle, Ollie Gilford, both of Youngstown.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Sam and Sadie Gilford, and Bud and Essie Roland; her sister, Theresa Roland Valentine; and her father, John W. Roland.
She also leaves her uncles, Joel Friendly, Charles Gilford, Cleophus Gilford and Sam Gilford Jr. (Deacon); her aunt, Annie Clinkscale; and cousin, Joseph W. Gilford.
Services are private and have been entrusted to Augustine Funeral Home.
