Carla E. Downey 1958-2024

She was born July 23, 1958, in Hubbard.

A proud graduate of Hubbard High School’s Class of 1976, Carla went on to attend Youngstown State University.

She carried a lifelong passion for sports and was an enthusiastic supporter of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Guardians, rarely missing a game and cheering them on with unwavering dedication.

Carla is survived by her loving husband, Chris Downey of Parma Heights; her parents, Carl and Judith Phillips; and her sister, Laura.

Carla’s vibrant spirit and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.

Cremation has taken place.
